About Sarah-Marie
Hi! I’m Sarah-Marie Hopf, and I’m the founder behind Thriving in a Noisy World.
I envision a world in which everyone feels a deep sense of belonging, wellbeing, and meaningful contribution.
My intention through Thriving in a Noisy World is to support purpose-driven, growth-oriented leaders and changemakers in cultivating inner mastery and bringing their whole self to life.
As a driven changemaker, I’ve personally experienced the many benefits of mindfulness practice and inner work for thriving while making a meaningful contribution. To my work, I bring experience at the intersections of leadership development and coaching, institutional change, human-centered design, and systemic social innovation. I've been fortunate to work with individuals and organizations globally, including mission-driven startups, leading universities, high impact nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies. I currently serve as an executive coach with the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center and The Coaching Fellowship as well as a leadership assessment specialist with Learning as Leadership.
I'm a Certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West, an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), and a summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College. A long-time mindfulness practitioner, I’m a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with world-renowned mindfulness teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach (certified by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley and the Awareness Training Institute). I’m currently part of the Alumni Steering Committee to create a vision and structure for the global MMTCP Alumni Association. I’m also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, Professional Level (CMT-P) through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. I’ve trained in developmental coaching with Steve March, creator of Aletheia Coaching, and in collective trauma healing with Thomas Huebl. I'm grateful to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a StartingBloc Fellow, and a member of Sandbox, a global network of changemakers. A German/American, I’m currently based in Oakland, CA.
